Luxo's ESD-Safe Magnifiers and Microscopes are designed for inspection and assembly applications in static-sensitive environments as the guard against uncontrolled static dissipation.
What sets Luxo ESD-Safe Magnifiers and Microscopes apart from the ESD-Safe products of competitors?- To the arms and related metal parts of its ESD-Safe Magnifiers Luxo applies a metal-laced paint that measures 10^10 Ω/sq. (static dissipative) and makes it no longer insulative.
- The outer surfaces of the Magnifier components in the head assembly are protected with a special coating that results in a surface resistivity of 10^6 - 10^7 Ω/sq. (static dissipative). Since the surfaces are no longer insulative, triboelectric charging results in drastically lower voltages, especially since any charge (under 50 volts) is uniformly distributed throughout the entire surface of the unit's head assembly.
- ESD-Safe Magnifiers use Anti-Reflective glass lenses which have been treated with a metalized coating to dissipate glare from overhead lighting so it is not necessary to bend over the lens to block out light reflections.
- Microscope bodies and stands are powder-coated with a metal-laced paint that measures 10^5 Ω/sq. (static dissipative).
