Product Description: After 72 years, the world’s first original architect lamp has been redesigned. Now, with a 13W compact fluorescent lightsource for greater energy-efficiency, Luxo’s new L-1 task light consumes 80% less energy than traditional incandescent lamps. With its spring-balanced arm and fully adjustable shade, L-1 remains light to the touch allowing the user ease of movement.
In an effort to bring the L-1 closer to Jac Jacobsen’s 1937 design, the light switch has been moved to its original position at the front of the shade. The shade itself has been restored to the slightly slimmer shape of the pre-World War II original. L-1 is a prime example of how versatility, quality and stylish design produce a popular classic.
